Carpathian Mountains

My own workshop, five days high in the mountains in a village at 1,200 m.

Peștera sits at 1,200 metres between two mountains — hay meadows, wooden houses, sheep and changing skies. It is quiet and generous with subjects to paint.

For five days we paint outdoors together, with demonstrations and individual guidance at the easel. We work on composition, simplification and mood — how to make a mountain feel like a mountain with just a few washes.
