Lesson 07 — The Language of Landscape
Honfleur
The lesson
A little Norman port full of old fishing boats and sailboats — a larger painting that puts lesson 6 into practice.
In the previous lesson we discussed every aspect of drawing and painting boats and integrating them into a landscape. Now I suggest a larger painting that uses all of that experience.
Honfleur is a very picturesque old town in Normandy. Its little port is a perfect place to practise boat scenes: old fishing boats and sailboats, surrounded by beautiful architecture, cafés and walking tourists.
